App of the Week: Color Splash
I have been eyeing the Color Splash app in the App Store for awhile. It has been always within the Top 100 Apps and recently was selected by Apple for the App Store Hall of Fame. I was lucky enough to get few iTunes gift cards for Christmas. The perfect gift for an app junky! Plus at $0.99 you can’t help but want to at least play with a fun photo app.
ColorSplash™ lets you quickly and easily give photos a dramatic look by converting them to black and white, while keeping your chosen details in color. This effect draws the viewers’ attention to the colored areas, creating striking images.
The intuitive and responsive multi-touch user interface makes ColorSplash amazingly easy and fun to use. Use your finger as a brush to “paint” sections of your image black and white, or to bring back the original color. Zooming in and out using the two-finger pinching gesture allows you to work on details with pixel-accuracy. (http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/color-splash/id304871603?mt=8)

The same photo of the latest Dough Dough Bird cupcake from The Yum Yum Cupcake Truck edited on my iPhone in Color Splash. Take notice how the colors really pop with the rest of the photo in black and white.
If you are into iPhone photography and enjoy editing photos to make them unique, this app is calling your name. At only $0.99 it won’t break the bank as just a fun tool to edit your photos before sending to Instagram or creating a postcard with Postagram.
