National Geographic shares historic map content with the world using Google Maps Engine

Awesome for educators! Google Maps recently launched the Google Maps Engine public data program, allowing organizations to distribute their map content to consumers using Google’s cloud infrastructure.  Through this program, National Geographic has shared over 500 of their historic maps.  To learn more about how to utilize these maps and others in the classroom, check out the Official Google Blog post: http://googleenterprise.blogspot.com/2013/12/national-geographic-shares-rich-map.html.
