TROBO: The Storytelling Robot to Promote STEM (Give Them Your Vote)
I first met TROBO at Startup Weekend Orlando, November 22-24, 2013, where I was volunteering as a mentor. This team’s idea caught my attention quickly, because of its educational element and having a six-year-old myself.
TROBO is a plush robot that goes on learning adventures with your child, as they flip through digital storybooks on iPad and Android tablets. TROBO also speaks his part as you change the pages, and your child’s photo and name are used in the story. TROBO can help excite your child about STEM (Science, Technology, Electronics, and Math) learning.
My son loved this idea and was in full support of TROBO winning Startup Weekend Orlando. Now that’s customer validation!
