I’m presenting at the Central Florida Blogger Conference #CFLBlogCon in September

The Central Florida Blogger Conference (better known as CFLBlogCon) is coming back to Orlando on September 15th. This year it’s being hosted at the Orlando Science Center, which means more room for more bloggers (250+ bloggers!). Don’t think you have to already have a successful blog to attend this conference. I think anyone that is interested in blogging, social media, or new media marketing would get their monies worth from this day long event.

I’m fortunate enough to be on the fabulous planning team with a great group of local bloggers. We have setup a great agenda including tons of local bloggers to bring you great content. Check out the amazing Official Conference Guide just released on DocCaster.com! Don’t miss my session on Widgets and Gadgets for Bloggers, covering a tons of low cost tools to enhance your content.

Here is a quick preview of one of the widgets I’ll be talking about: Animoto

I’ll be hosting on Friday night before the conference a How To Session on Setting Up Your Social Media – Just the very basics!

Never been on Twitter or don’t truly understand how it works? (Just what does RT mean again?) Not sure how to set up a Facebook fan page or how to customize your username? We’ve got you covered! This how-to class is truly just the basics of setting up your social media accounts and how to actually use them. No strategies or advanced techniques will be covered…just enough to get you going so when you attend CFLBlogCon, you’ll be ready to implement the advanced strategies discussed! Register Here (Note: Must have at least 5 people sign up for this hands on session)

We are using SCHED.ORG as a social way of choosing sessions and see who else is planning to attend. Plus this allows you to have your agenda right on your smartphone, thus saving trees.

One of the best things about CFLBlogCon is that we keep it local. All the speakers are local volunteers with years of experience giving back to the Central Florida community. Another local part of the conference is this year’s virtual hosting of speakers materials will be through an Orlando startup company called Doccaster.com. It’s a location based file sharing system that will allow you to bookmark and engage in conversation with others on a document tied to a location.

You can’t pass up on day of learning, networking, and blogging for only $59.00! Last year’s conference sold out!
