Eye-Fi the SD Card that Rocks!

Recently I bought a new DSLR Nikon D3100 and needed a new SD Card since my old camera was a Sony, which took the Memory Stick Pro Duos. I have been checking out the Eye-Fi SD Cards for while but never had a camera that was compatible.  I finally decided to go with the Eye-Fi Pro X2 8GB card ($99.99) that has Class 6 read & write speeds for high performance shooting, which is needed for DSLR. Other versions of the card exist for a variety of other camera and special needs. Find out if your camera is compatible.

What is special about an Eye-Fi card?

The Eye-Fi card is the 1st wireless memory card. It looks, stores media, and fits into cameras just like a regular SDHC card. On top of that, the Eye-Fi card has built-in Wi-Fi that effortlessly transfers photos and videos to your iPhone, iPad, Android device or computer.

iPhone, iPad, & Andriod App for Instant Uploads

The Eye-Fi card can be setup to instantly upload photos to your iPhone, iPad, or Andriod mobile devices making it easy to share on a larger screen, upload to social media platforms, or photo blog on the go!

I loved this feature because it let me download the image, edit the image, and share it quickly on the go. No way my iPhone 4 camera can compare to a picture taken by my Nikon D3100.

I believe this would be an application and device for photographers, bloggers, social media, public relation, & marketing specialists that might need to upload live photos of events happening on the fly. Might be one of the best reasons to look at getting an iPad for your business.

The Eye-Fi has so many other features and uses that could make this a great investment for only a little bit extra to get all these additional features that might make you life a little easier.
